Big fresh market with abundant seafood, meat and poultry. Vegetables are cheaper in both wholesale and retail sales. Dried seafood is also cheaper there. . As a rule, buyers have to be careful with some older seafood that sometimes is blended in fresh ones in the tray(not the tank) of running water, a trick made to be impressed. It spoils the reputation of the market. So sad.

Once you’ve arrived from Wongwian Yai Station, you’ll be greeted with lots of market stalls selling fresh veg, fruits and seafood. Take a stroll to the main road and turn right towards the pier and head for the ferry.

Mahachai Railway Station It is a level 1 railway station of the Mae Klong Railway. Located on Sukhaphiban Road, Mahachai Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Sakhon District Samut Sakhon Province , 31 kilometers from Wongwian Yai Railway Station [1] The State Railway of Thailand organizes 34 trains per day. Mahachai Railway Station is the terminal station of the Wongwian Yai-Mahachai route. Passengers who wish to continue taking the train to Samut Songkhram Province Must get off the train and walk the road for 500 meters, then take a ferry to Tha Chalom to take the train at the next stop. Ban Laem Railway Station ends at Mae Klong Railway Station, a distance of 33 kilometers

Functional space mostly painted marigold yellow- smack in the middle of the market... Pedestrians and buskers selling and buying between train and station and market and apartments and flats. Expect a cornucopia of chaos... Best to walk from the station out to the waterfront and try catching a taxi / ferry / bike / bus etc.. from that point onward. Locals friendly (offering helpful advise - please sit and wait.. the ticket office will only open in 10 minutes).. thank you! The self help terminal only works for Thai citizens forcing tourists (aka me) to wait for service at the ticket office. Scenic slice of life out of the city.. worth your effort for the nearby temples and touristy spots. Happy travels!

A wonderful terminal station with such a very similar scenery as famous Maeklong Station. A fantastic place for a train mania!

Incredible experience arriving at this Railway Station to begin our gulf coast cycle ride, the market literally parts to let the train momentarily pass by! through then swallows the track up as trading continues again... Only 1 hour outside Bangkok and a pleasant train journey.
